Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha town (between 6:30-7:00 AM). After a safari briefing, we depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees.
Enjoy a full day game drive with a picnic lunch at one of the park's scenic spots. Tarangire is particularly spectacular during dry season (June-October) when wildlife concentrates along the Tarangire River. Look out for lions, leopards, and the park's famous tree-climbing pythons.
In the late afternoon, we exit the park and drive to our accommodation in Karatu (approximately 1.5 hours). Dinner and overnight at your selected camp/lodge, with the evening free to relax and share stories with fellow travelers.
Day 2: Karatu to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast (around 7:00 AM), we begin our journey to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The drive takes us through the picturesque Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with optional stops at viewpoints.
We enter Serengeti at Naabi Hill Gate (around midday) where you can enjoy your picnic lunch while taking in panoramic views. The afternoon is dedicated to game drives through Serengeti's endless plains, searching for the Big Five and observing the great migration (seasonal).
As the sun sets over the savannah, we head to our camp/lodge in the central Seronera area. After dinner, fall asleep to the sounds of the African wilderness, with hyenas whooping in the distance.
Day 3: Full Day Exploring Serengeti National Park
Today is dedicated to full-day exploration of Serengeti's diverse ecosystems. We start with an early morning game drive (departing around 6:30 AM) when predators are most active. Your guide will take you to prime wildlife viewing areas based on current animal movements.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic kopje (rock outcrop), then continue with afternoon game drives. The Serengeti offers unparalleled wildlife viewing - from massive herds of wildebeest during migration season to resident populations of lions, cheetahs, and elusive leopards.
In the late afternoon, we drive to our accommodation near Ngorongoro Crater rim. The cooler temperatures at this elevation make for a comfortable night's rest before tomorrow's crater descent.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Tour - Overnight Karatu
We descend into the Ngorongoro Crater early (around 6:30 AM) when animal activity is at its peak. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is often called "Africa's Eden" due to its dense wildlife population in a stunning volcanic caldera.
Spend the morning exploring the crater floor, where you're almost guaranteed to see the Big Five. The crater's unique ecosystem supports about 25,000 large animals, including endangered black rhinos. Enjoy lunch at the scenic Ngoitokitok picnic site near a hippo pool.
In the afternoon, we ascend the crater walls and drive back to Karatu (approximately 1 hour). Check in to your accommodation with time to relax by the pool or explore the local area. Dinner and overnight in Karatu.
Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
After breakfast, we check out and drive to Lake Manyara National Park (about 30 minutes). This compact park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, and thousands of flamingos that paint the lake pink.
Enjoy a morning game drive through diverse habitats - from the lakeshore to groundwater forests. Look for troops of baboons, blue monkeys, and if you're lucky, lions lounging in acacia trees. We exit the park by midday and begin our return journey to Arusha.
Arrive in Arusha by late afternoon (around 3-4 PM) where we'll drop you at your hotel or the airport. End of our services with unforgettable memories of Tanzania's incredible wildlife and landscapes.
