2 Days Tarangire & Lake Manyara Safari
Experience Tanzania's wildlife diversity on this action-packed 2-day safari visiting two of northern circuit's most contrasting parks. Explore Tarangire's baobab-dotted savannahs teeming with elephants, then discover Lake Manyara's compact wonders from tree-climbing lions to flamingo-filled shores.
Available year-round as either a private safari (customizable to all budgets) or group joining option (fixed departures). Overnight options include lodges near Lake Manyara or inside the national park for maximum immersion.
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Morning pickup from your Arusha hotel (7:00 AM for private safaris, 6:30 AM for group departures). After briefing, we drive to Tarangire National Park (2-hour journey), famous for having Tanzania's highest elephant density.
Full day game drive exploring Tarangire's diverse habitats. Marvel at ancient baobabs and watch elephant families at the Tarangire River. The park is particularly spectacular June-October when wildlife concentrates around water sources. Picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint.
Late afternoon drive to Lake Manyara area (1.5 hours). Check in to your lodge either near the park entrance or inside Manyara National Park (subject to availability). Dinner and overnight with sounds of the wilderness.
Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
Early breakfast followed by morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. This compact park packs incredible diversity - from groundwater forests to alkaline lake shores. Search for the famous tree-climbing lions and observe troops of baboons.
The lake itself attracts thousands of flamingos (seasonal) and other waterbirds. Your guide will take you to prime viewing spots before the midday heat sets in. Exit the park by 11:00 AM and begin return journey to Arusha.
Arrive in Arusha by early afternoon (1:30-2:30 PM depending on wildlife sightings). Drop-off at your hotel or airport, marking the end of your short but memorable Tanzanian safari adventure.
